Privacy policy

This page explains what nikaia.studio does with visitors’ data. It is short because the site collects very little.

No data protection officer has been appointed; the size and nature of the activity do not require one.

What the site does not do

The site sets no cookies and reads nothing stored on your device. It loads no scripts from Google, Meta or any advertising network. There is therefore no consent banner: there is nothing to accept. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Data collected and purposes

Contact form

Data: name, business name, phone number or email address, and the text of your message. Purpose: to reply to your request, prepare a quote if you ask for one, and follow up on that exchange. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), namely replying to a person who has chosen to get in touch.

All fields are needed to reply, except the business name, which helps prepare the answer. You can also reach me by phone or WhatsApp without using the form.

Hosting provider’s technical logs

Like any host, Cloudflare processes the IP address and technical headers of each request in order to deliver the site, protect it against attacks and keep it running. Cloudflare processes this data as a processor, for a short period set by its own terms. [UNVERIFIED: log retention on Cloudflare’s free plan] Nikaia Studio does not access these logs in the ordinary course of business.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare’s anti-robot check: when you start filling in the form, a script loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com analyses technical signals from your browser to verify that it is not an automated program, without identifying you and under the same data processing agreement as the hosting.

Audience measurement

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, an audience measurement tool that works without cookies and without any identifier stored on your device. It produces aggregate statistics (page views, country, device type, load times). These statistics cannot identify you. Tools of this kind, limited to anonymous audience measurement for the publisher alone, are exempt from consent under the CNIL’s guidelines. Retention

Contact form data: three years from our last exchange, then deleted. If a quote is signed, the data moves to the client file and follows the statutory retention periods for commercial and accounting records. Audience statistics: aggregate and anonymous, kept without a specific limit since they relate to no identifiable person.

Recipients and transfers

Form data is received and read by Daniel Wilson only. It is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

The only processor is the hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., established in the United States. Cloudflare is bound by a data processing agreement (DPA) and relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and on its certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to and restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to info@nikaia.studio stating your request. I reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt about the requester’s identity.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL: 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or at www.cnil.fr.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Form messages are transmitted encrypted and stored in a mailbox protected by two-factor authentication.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the site changes (for example if a new tool is added). The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
